Owning one doesn't.
Most UK website companies charge a monthly fee. The cheapest we've found is around £20 a month with hosting included; £30 is closer to typical, and £30 is what the bars below use. Either way, it's fine until you add it up.
Over 5 years you keep
£1,181— and at the end of it, the website is still yours.
Honest version: our hosting is counted in, because theirs is too. If you host the site yourself it comes out cheaper still. The bars use £30 a month. A subscription still works out cheaper than us for roughly the first 9 months — or the first 15 if you find one at the £20 quoted above. After that it never catches up, and if you ever stop paying, you're left with nothing to show for it.

We're still building our portfolio, so it's £199 while we do. Once we've got enough work behind us the price goes to £499. Book now and you pay £199 — we won't come back for the difference.
