Most of what a website costs is hours. We use AI tools to cut the hours down, and we pass that on rather than pocket it. Here is exactly how, with nothing left out.
The tools we actually use
We build with Claude Code, an AI coding tool we pay a monthly subscription for. If you need a logo or images made, we use ChatGPT for those. There is no agency behind the curtain and nothing is subcontracted.
Where the saving comes from
A studio bills you for design hours, developer hours, and someone to manage the two. The tools take most of that time out. What used to be a fortnight of work is now a few days — so the price comes down with it.
A person still does the work
AI writes code. It doesn’t know what a boiler service costs, or why your customers ring at seven in the morning. We plan the site, check every page, fix what comes out wrong, and we’re the ones who answer when you get in touch.
What we make on it
We’re not pretending this is charity — £199 leaves us a profit, and it’s meant to. We’d rather build a lot of sites at a fair price than a handful at two thousand, and more small businesses get found that way.
Websites are our passion. You get a website that brings you work; we get paid to build things we’re proud of. That is the whole model.
